The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is one of the three federal immigration programs managed through Canada’s Express Entry system. It is designed for skilled workers who have gained work experience in Canada and want to become permanent residents.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Canadian Experience Class, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements
Work Experience
At least one year of skilled work experience in Canada, in the three years before applying.
The work experience must be in a skilled occupation (National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type 0, A, or B).
Language Ability
Achieve a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 for NOC 0 or A jobs, or CLB 5 for NOC B jobs.
Education
No specific education requirement. However, additional points are awarded for higher education levels under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
Proof of Funds
Not required if you are currently working in Canada or have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer.
