Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program
Overview
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) is a unique immigration program designed to address labor market needs and support population growth in the Atlantic provinces of Canada: New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. The program aims to attract skilled workers and international graduates to the region, providing a pathway to permanent residence.
Key Features of AIPP
- Employer-Driven Program: The AIPP is employer-driven, meaning candidates must have a job offer from a designated employer in one of the Atlantic provinces.
- Fast-Track Immigration: The program provides a fast-track pathway to permanent residence, with a streamlined process for both employers and applicants.
- Three Streams: The AIPP consists of three distinct streams to accommodate various types of applicants:
- Atlantic High-Skilled Program (AHSP)
- Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program (AISP)
- Atlantic International Graduate Program (AIGP)
Program Priorities
The AIPP focuses on the following priorities:
- Meeting Labor Market Needs: Addressing labor shortages in key industries by attracting skilled workers.
- Supporting Population Growth: Encouraging new immigrants to settle and remain in the Atlantic provinces.
